Worlds 2010 Registration Day One: Who's registered, who's waitlisted?

After an incredibly long day of going through massive amounts of data and e-mails, we have organized the list of who has registered and who has not for Koc Worlds 2010. All of the information can be found at http://www.kocworlds2010.com/index.php?page=76.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.

77 colleges got 3 teams and over 87 couldn't even get one team. That's hardly fair. Why not give one spot to everyone and then make the second and third spots available on a first come first served basis.

  2. I can't disagree that it appears unfair. In defence of the Koc committee 3 teams is pretty much the standard in recent years. A few years ago Worlds struggled to get over 300 teams. Now interest has exploded to almost 600 (so far). I'm sure there will be an long discussion about this at council.

For what it's worth my non-official opinion is that wait-listing for additional teams would be a fairer option than wait-listing teams who register 2 minutes after the hour. Perhaps allow colleges that competed at the previous year's worlds enter 2 teams and waitlist for a third and all other colleges enter 1 team and waitlist for a second.
