IMU 6th National Health Sciences Debate (NHSD)

Dear all,

We would like to extend our invitation to your reputable university to
participate in the National Health Sciences Debate 2007 with the theme
"21st Century Medicine: Making Us Better???"

Our objectives are :

• To make aware the relevance of discussing issues pertaining to
ethics and principles surrounding the medical profession in our
developing society.
• To create a platform for youths to voice their views and opinions on
health issues.

Details of the event are as follows :

1. Date : 27th – 29th October 2007 (Sat – Mon)
2. Venue : International Medical University (IMU)
Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
3. Debate Format : British Parliamentary
4. Team Cap : Maximum 5 teams
5. Registration Fee : RM 270 per team

6. Prizes :

Champions : RM 2000
1st Runner Up : RM 1000
2nd Runner Up : RM 500
3rd Runner Up : RM 250
Subsidiary Awards : Best speaker for finals &
Best speaker overall

Provided below is a tentative schedule. Once we receive a positive
confirmation from your university, we will forward registration forms
and further information regarding method of payment, transport and
other details.

No accommodation will be provided, but accommodation is available at
the nearby Sri Petaling Hotel. The rates and contact numbers are as
follows :

Superior Room – The superior room is generously appointed for comfort,
equipped with a king-sized bed or twin beds and necessary facilities.
