The UL IV is on this weekend (23rd & 24th). I'll be there and will post some updates to the blog.

The competition will be in British Parliamentary style and is an Open. If you are interested in taking part Entry fees are €50 per team, €40 per international (non-Irish) team. There is no cost for adjudicators. Crash is available for all international participants. If you're in Ireland you know how to get here, its pretty simple. However if you are travelling from abroad there are a number of options. Easiest of these is to fly directly into Shannon Airport, which is serviced, by Ryanairand Aer Lingus. The other option is to fly into Dublin Airport and then get a train to Limerick, which is approximately a 2.5-hour journey

The CA of the DCUL Intervarsity will be Diarmuid Early. He is currently theAuditor of the UCC Philosophical Society, and was the IndividualWinner of Irish Times Debating Competition

There will be a prize fund of €1,500 for this competition. Prizes will be awarded to the winning and runner up teams of the competition, the winningi ndividual, the top speaker on the tab, the best novice team on the tab and best novice individual on the tab.
