Follow up info:
Greetings from Seoul :)
In relevance with the Survival Guide in Seoul previously posted, I as the finance manager would like to make one more announcement.
One of our main sponsors, the NH Bank, have promised to provide currency exchange services at the cheapest price in Korea. They will not be receiving any exchange fees, but will exchange your currencies into KRW in whatever price it is at the market at the time of your visit.
Therefore, it is advised to all participants, to buy the minimum amount of KRW at the airport, and exchange the rest at the bank branch office right beside our registration venue, the Lexington Hotel.
The Finance Team will be guiding you to the branch, provide translation services, and help you with the process so that you may take maximum advantage out of this great opportunity to enjoy Korea. It is vital that you have enough Korean Wons as most, if not all, Korean stores only accept Korean Wons.
Exchangable currencies are as follows:
USD
JPY
EUR
CNY
GBP
CHF
CAD
HKD
SEK
AUD
DKK
NOK
SAR
KWD
BHD
AED
SGD
MYR
NZD
THB
IDR
TWD
PHP
INR
The currencies not mentioned above can not be exchanged into KRW in NH banks, so if you come from a region that use a currency not mentioned above, it is advised that you exchange your currencies at the airport, or within your own region.
Only a few days to go!! Can't wait to meet all of you in Seoul :)
With Regards,
Aaron J. Yoo
