Berlin to host WUDC in 2013

The World Debating Council have voted by 87 votes to 9 to award the 2013 World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC) to Berlin.

They defeated the bid from Zagreb in the vote held this afternoon in Botswana.

Update: The actual result may have been 87-9.  The countries voting for Zagreb were Botswana (1), Croatia (4), Jamaica (2) and Turkey (2) which add up to 9 votes.  Everyone else voted for Berlin.
