Debating Resolutions for 2010

During the past week of Worlds coverage I came across a number of new (or new to me) debating related blogs.  One of these was "Hope to Break" by Mark Eastham.  It had some good reviews of the tournament but one interesting non-worlds post was Mark's "2010 Debating Resolutions".

The resolutions were
1. Read loads and fill up my debate folder.
2. Try and win a smaller competition.
3. Break at one of the big five.

You can see more details of these on Mark's blog but I think it is worth mentioning here because many people say the best way to achieve something is to have set it as a clear goal and work towards that goal.  If you want to achieve things in debating in 2010 you could do worse than to join Mark in making these 3 resolutions.

  4. I agree with almost all of Mark's posts. And I have some such resolutions myself. :)

Best of luck to Mark I suppose.

I always thought there was very little overlap between professional footballers and debaters. Guess I was wrong.
