Dear debaters,
I am pleased to announce the details of the Literary and Historical Society’s UCD IV 2009. This is the last Irish IV before Cork Worlds and will feature the best pool of judges, seven minute speeches and two amazing Irish Chief Adjudicators Noel McGrath and Declan Bruton.
The competition will take place on Friday 28th of November and Saturday the 29th of November. Registration will be from 4pm. There will be 2 rounds on the Friday and three rounds on the Saturday breaking to semi finals and a grand gala final held in a historic old hall (not a concrete lecture theatre!) to see who wins the coveted vice presidents cup.
We will have lots of food and drink and we will party late into Friday night and Sunday morning.
A team cap of 72 is initially envisaged but may be increased. There is no team cap so it’s first come first serve.
Registration is €70 per team and is payable in advance either by:
