Website update

The guys in Debating.net have got the site back up. However it looks like they had to restore an old version from around 18 months ago so the site looks a little strange. Also my log on isn't restored yet but hopefully it will be soon and I'll upload the newer version of the site.

National Health Sciences Debate Results

The 6th National Health Sciences Debate was held by the Internatonal Medical University (IMU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 27th to 29th October 2007, and the final results are :

Champions : IMU E - Wong Yih Seong and Ooi Mian Li

1st Runners Up : Malaysian Multimedia University A - Ahmad Shaoib Abdul Rahim and Mohd Yusuf
2nd Runners Up : IMU A - Prasad Palani Velu and Tan Hai Liang
3rd Runners Up : University Teknologi Malaysia A - Chan Chun Keith and Ng Kin Lik

Best Speaker in the Finals : Wong Yih Seong (IMU E)
Best Speaker Overall : Wong Yih Seong (IMU E)

Bristol IV

The winners of the 2007 Bristol IV are ULU - Jonathan Leader-Maynard and Patrick Rooney. Jonathan Leader-Maynard was best speaker in the final.
Motions:
1.) This house would prevent doctors from opting out of performing medical procedures on religious grounds.
2.) This house would privatise all UK Universities.
3.) This house, as the UN, would deny the Vatican all rights of a state.
4.)This house would allow soldiers, sailors and airmen in the British forces to sue the crown for negligence.
5.) This house believes the British Museum should give back everything to where it was plundered from.
