Hello everyone!

This email is from Lewis Turner and Krishna Omkar, the co-convenors of the Oxford IV 2007.

We are delighted to announce that this year's competition will take place on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of November 2007. The website for the competition is www.oxfordiv.org and more details will be available here in due course. We will open registration in the summer and will, of course, keep everyone updated about exactly when registration will open. In the mean time, you might like to know that:

We're thrilled to say that Jessica Prince, top speaker at Worlds 2007, has agreed to be the Chief Adjudicator for the tournament.
The tournament will run through 5 rounds, breaking to Quarter-Finals and ESL Semi-Finals.
There will be a team cap of 140, with a cap of three teams per institution.
We're working very hard to make sure that this year's IV not only lives up to the high expectations everyone has of the Oxford Union, but also sets new standards in terms of quality and experience. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us at convenor@oxfordiv.org, or at our personal email IDs - (Lewis: lewis.turner@new.ox.ac.uk, and Krishna: treasurer-mt@oxford-union.org).

We look forward to welcoming you to Oxford in November. Hope you're all enjoying your summer, and good luck to those sitting exams!
